The F-100 A-F Study! A semi theme look at the great and very beautiful F-100 series!!

A major object in this study is to compare two possible NMFs, Alclad Polished Aluminum, and Airframe Aluminum! The winner of this comparison will be used on a 1/144 Fujimi B-29. Looking to find the closest match to that shown on the real planes in pics #5 & #7 below. I'm beginning to lean toward the Airframe Aluminum. Your thoughts??

Don's raw resin casting -ready for some work<g>!!

After scribing a few panel lines and polishing.

MM Glossy Black Enamel applied. Ready for the Alclad!

Alclad Polished Aluminum applied. I forgot to mask the black in the canopy.

Alclad Panel colors added. White Aluminum on wing leading edge, and Magnesium on control surfaces. Aztec Bronze on fuselage rear with Steel and Jet Exhaust bands in that order. Steel added to nose section.

Build # 2 is based on the FE-Resin F-100 D. An excellent kit!!

Fe Resin polished and ready for black!!

MM Glossy Black Enamel applied. Ready for the Alclad!

Alclad Airframe Aluminum applied.

Alclad Panel colors added. White Aluminum on wing leading edge, and Magnesium on control surfaces. Aztec Bronze on fuselage rear with Steel and Jet Exhaust bands in that order. Steel added to nose section. A little Jet Exhaust blended on to the Aztec Bronze!

All the small parts from both builds now coated with MM Glossy Black Enamel. Ready for the Alclad!
