Andrew^ COE 1²³⁹ was born about 1657 in Probably Greenwich, CT..²³⁹ He was born about 1657 in Greenwich, Fairfield Co., CT.³⁴⁷ [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Removed to]³⁴⁷ He owned Granted Land on 27 Feb 1698 in Port Chester, Westchester Co., NY.³⁴⁷ He owned 20 acres about 1698 in Pondfield Draft.¹⁰⁶⁴ He owned Lame Hill's Purchase he received an allotment on 18 Feb 1701 in Lame Hill.¹⁰⁶⁴ In 1701 he was Townsman in Rye, Westchester Co., NY.³⁴⁷ He served in the military in 1705 in Rye, Westchester Co., NY.³⁴⁷ He was Sergeant in 1705 in Rye, N.Y. He owned Granted Land in 1708 in Port Chester, Westchester Co., NY.¹⁰⁶⁵ He was Vestryman on 9 Jan 1711 in Christ Church, Rye, Westchester Co., NY.³⁴⁷ He owned Granted Land in 1714 in White Plains.³⁴⁷ He died after 1714. According to "Decendants of John Coe" his name first appeared in the records in 1679, as a witness on a deed in Stratford. In 1680 he was a witness on a deed in Rye, where he resided all his life, owning land there, and also meadow lots on Mansuring Island, previously belonging to his father. He was townsman in Rye in 1701, sergeant in 1708, and on January 9, 1711, was made vestryman of Christ church.
On February 27, 1698, he was granted land in Port Chester, and a little later, in what was called the Pondfield draft, he received twenty acres. In 1699 his home was mentioned as being near Fox Island. In the Swampland draft of 1702 he received lot #8. In 1708 more land was laid out to him at Port Chester. On February 18, 1711, in the second division of lots of the Lame Will"s purchase he received an allotment. In 1714 land was granted to him at White Plains, NY.

He moved to Greenwich, Conn. with his father and after his fathers death was assessed on a Greenwich Rate in 1743, becoming of age that year.
On Jan 9, 1744, he and his stepmother sold land near King St. in Rye to Samuel (Crane??), and a little later conveyed land to Abraham Miller of Rye. On Feb. 10 ,1746, he sold land there tp Solomon Haviland.
About 1748 Andrew moved to Woodbury, Conn., and settled in the part that was latter Southburh. His name appears in the list of inhabitants of that town in the census of 1790.
On Sept. 8, 1748 he marr. Mary Sabford in Woodbury. She was baptised there Mar. 9 1729, daug. of Nathaniel and Bethia (Kirby) Sanford. Her g.father, Thomas Sanford born in 1608, in Eng., was one of the founders of Milford, Conn. and a greatgrandson of Richard Sanford of Stanstead-Mountfitchet, Eng.
Three of Andrew COE's sons moved to Norway, Herkimer, NY in 1789, and when his youngest son, Simeon, decided to follow them, Andrew and his wife went with him. They spent the rest of their lives in Norway, appearing in the 1800 census there and are probably buried there in the old cemetery. Their graves are unmarked, for many of the red sandstone markers in the Coe plot have long since crumbled to pieces so that names and dates are lost." Parents: John^ COE 2 and Mary^ PURDY.

John 3 COE was born on 20 Sep 1757 in Southbury, New Haven Co., CT.¹⁰⁷² He served in the military in Jun 1776 in Connecticut Militia.¹⁰⁷² John Coe began his military service in June 1776, when he served 6 months as substitute for his brother Andrew in Captain Rogers' company in Colonel Gay's regiment of Connecticut militia. He died on 28 Feb 1846 in Ellery, Chautauqua Co., NY.¹⁰⁷² John Coe died in Ellery, age 88, a soldier and pensioner of the Revolution. FC Nov 23, 1846. He served in the military Dec 1776, thru 1781 in Connecticut Militia.¹⁰⁷² John Coe enlisted of his own accord in Dec 1776, and again in 1777, 1778, 1779, 1780 and 1781. He served in companies commanded by Captains David Hinman, Curtis and Johnson in the regiments of Colonel Hinman and Colonel Preston. In September of 1642, John Coe's name appears on the Stanford Tax List, "Jo Coe His rate due the town 13s 8d." He was born about 1620 in Stoke-Nayland, Suffolk Co., England.¹⁰⁷⁰ He was certainly related to Robert Coe, who came to America earlier with his family, and was living in Stanford at the time of John's appearance. [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Removed to]³⁴⁷ He was elected as Committeeman on 18 Sep 1649 in Fort Amsterdam.³⁴⁷ He owned Sold property on 13 May 1651 in Stanford, CT.¹⁰⁷⁴ [NEED TO DEFINE SENTENCE: Removed to]³⁴⁷ He died after 1685. According to The Descendents of John COE document, only two children are found in records though there may have been more. Andrew was the only one named COE to have left issue. John^ COE 2¹⁰⁷⁵ was born about 1690 in Rye, Westchester Co., NY.¹⁰⁷⁰ He died early 1741 in Greenwich, Fairfield Co., CT.²³⁹ He was living Most of his life in Rye, Westchester Co., NY.¹⁰⁷⁰ On April 12, 1718, he, with John Clapp, Samuel Blakeman, John Purdy and other inhabitants of Rye, complained tot he New York government, that the government of Connecticut was imposing taxes on them, and furnished affidavits to prove their case.
John Coe owned land in and around Rye, and in 1720 with his brother, Jonathan, sold to Samuel Brown the salt meadow lots on Mensuring Island originally belonging to their father, John Coe I. On May 24, 1722, he sold land to Abraham Miller. His name appears in a list of proprietors of a parcel of land between Byram River and Blind Brook, dated May 2, 1729. On May 15, of that same year he , with others, gabe land for the Presbyterian Church. On October 11, 1733, he sold land to Jema Blackman.
In 1739 he subscribed seven shillings, eight pence, toward the expense of obtaining a patent for the establishment of a ferry between Rye and Oyster Bay, Long Island. He was twice married. Parents: Andrew^ COE 1 and Deborah^ LYON.

Joseph Addison COE was born on 2 May 1840. He died on 20 May 1845. Parents: Alexander COE and Marie Martilla COON.
