This is Gizmo.
For those of you who don't know, he is a chinchilla.

Gizmo is a standard gray male.
I don't know when he was born because I got him at a pet store in July 97,
he was about 3 to 4 months old then, so I use 04/01/97 as his birth date.

This is Nipper and Gidget
Nipper (on the left) at 6 weeks old is a sapphire male born 02/22/98.
Gidget (on the right) at 10 weeks old is a hetero beige female born 01/23/98.

As you can see they are best friends.

Pepe (on the left) at 7 weeks old is a Mosaic male born 03/02/98.
Sweet Pea (on the right) at 9 weeks old is a Violet female born 02/16/98.

Just Like Gidget & Nipper these two get along just fine.

This is Buckwheat at 8 weeks old. She is a Black Velvet born 8/17/98.

This is Penelope at 8 months old. She is a sapphire born 8/22/98.

Here is Gidget with Gizmo & Nipper in a fish bowl. It's where they sleep.

Penelope & Pepe

A little "male bonding" Gizmo teaching Nipper important chinchilla behavior,
like hanging out at the door of the cage so you don't miss anything.

Here's Gizmo after a hard day of playing in his wheel.
Gidget enjoying one of her favorite treats.
Sweet Pea
Nipper loves Popsicle sticks.
Nipper begging for a treat.
Pepe sleeping in his Ovaltine jar.

Gizmo absolutely adores Buckwheat.

This photo was taken of Nipper before he died on 4/3/99. Rest in peace little buddy.

This is the last picture taken of Gidget before she died 7/21/99. She is with Nipper once again.
"A pet's love for its family is forever, without qualifications, without reservations, pure and unselfish. We, the caretakers of these wonderful creatures, must never forget that our pets are dependent on us for their well being. We provide their food, water, shelter and health care. In return, they wag their tail, purr in our ear, cuddle next to our body, play with us, lick our hand, protect us, provide us with company, someone to talk to when we are lonely, cheer us up when we are blue, sing us a song and sometimes, save our lives. They give much more than they get. Imagine how it would be if the whole world acted like our pets." [Unknown]
