                             Dried Apple Cake

   2      C             Dried Apples
   1      C             Sugar
     2/3  C             Butter
   2      Tsp           Baking Powder
   2                    Eggs
   3      C (Or More)   Flour
   1      C             Raisins
   1      C             Molasses
   1      C             Milk
   1      tsp           Soda, Level
                        Nutmeg -- to taste
                        Cinnamon -- to taste

Soak apples in water long enough to make soft. Then chop them to about the
size of raisins and boil them for 15 mins in the molasses. Dissolve the
soda in a little hot water, and put this in the molasses when cold. Then
mix in all other ingredients, beat well, and pour into cake pan. Bake in
moderate oven till done.
