Add melted chocolate and beaten egg. Add flour, salt, baking powder mixture; then vanilla, alternately w/ milk. Beat w/ hand beater (NOT MIXMASTER) after addition. Put into two 9" cake pans and bake for 45 minutes until cake is done. FROSTING: Mix first 6 ingredients, then stir in confectioners' sugar. Beat until thick enough to spread.
