                            Classic Pound Cake

   5                    Eggs
   2                    Sticks of butter
   1      teaspoon      Vanilla
   2      cups          Sifted flour
   1 2/3  cups          Sugar

Cream butter and sugar.  
Add the eggs one at a time and alternate with the dry ingredients. 
Beat well after each addition.
 Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake. in a preheated 350 degrees for one hour and 15 minutes.
