* Exported from MasterCook * Cauliflower Casserole (Hungarian) Recipe By : Serving Size : 3 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetables Casseroles Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 large Head cauliflower 4 tablespoons Butter -- melted 3/4 cup Fine breadcrumbs 3/4 cup Sour cream Salt and pepper to taste Cut cauliflower into florets and cook covered in saucepan in lightly salted water for 10 minutes. Drain through a collander. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter the bottom and sides of a 9 inch baking dish and sprinkle in a little of the bread crumbs. Make a layer of 1/3 of the cauliflower in the dish. Drizzle part of the butter, bread crumbs and sour cream over the cauliflower and season with salt and pepper. Continue adding layers, finishing with bread crumbs and butter. Place in preheated oven for 30 to 45 minutes or until the cauliflower is tender and the breadcrumbs are crisp and golden brown. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
