* Exported from MasterCook * Magic Lemon Meringue Pie Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Pies Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 9-inch pie shell -- baked 1 can Sweetened condensed milk -- 15-oz can 1/2 cup Lemon juice 1 teaspoon Lemon rind -- grated 3 Eggs -- separated 1/4 teaspoon Cream of tartar 6 tablespoons Sugar Blend sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, rind and egg yolks. Stir until mixture thickens. Pour into cooled, baked pie shell. Make meringue by beating egg whites and cream of tartar until frothy. Gradually beat in sugar and continue beating until stiff and glossy. Pile on top of filling. Seal to pie crust all around. Garnish with slivered almonds. Bake at 350 degrees 15-20 minutes.
