                            Kentucky Pecan Pie

   1                    9-Inch pie shell -- unbaked
   1      cup           Light corn syrup
   1      cup           Dark brown sugar
     1/3  teaspoon      Salt
     1/3  cup           Butter; melted -- OR margarine
   1      teaspoon      Vanilla
   3                    Eggs -- slightly beaten
   1      cup           Shelled whole pecans -- heaping cup

Combine syrup, sugar, salt, butter and vanilla; mix well.
 Add slightly beaten eggs.  Pour into unbaked pie shell.
 Sprinkle pecans over all. Bake in preheated 350 degrees oven
 for approximately 45 minutes.
 When cool, top with whipped cream or ice cream, if you desire.
