* Exported from MasterCook * Martha Stewart's Cranberry Raisin Pie Recipe By : Serving Size : 10 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Pies Fruits Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- CRUST 2 1/2 cups Flour 1 teaspoon Salt 1 teaspoon Sugar 1/2 pound Unsalted butter; chill -- cut 1/4 To 1/2 c ice water FILLING 2 cups Cranberries 1 1/2 cups Golden raisins 1/2 cup Sugar 1/4 cup Maple syrup 1 dash Brancy 1 Orange -- zest of 2 tablespoons Butter -- cut pieces CRUST-In processor put flour, salt, sugar and butter. Pulse until like coarse oatmeal. Add water, a little at a time, until dough holds together without being wet or sticky. Flatten into a round and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate. Roll into 1/2" thick crust and press into a 9" pie plate. Trim crust and crimp edges. FILLING-Combine cranberries and raisins. Add sugar, syrup, vanilla, brandy and zest. Combine well and pour into crust. Dot with butter. Paint edge of crust with egg yolk mixed with water. Bake in preheated 425~ oven for 15 minutes. Lower to 350~ and bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until juice is bubbly in the center - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
