* Exported from MasterCook * Cherry Cider Salad Recipe By : Serving Size : 12 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Desserts Salads Fruits Cheese Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 cups Apple juice 16 ounces Dark cherries; canned -- pittd Water 6 ounces Cherry jello 1/2 cup Walnuts -- chopped 1/2 cup Celery -- sliced 1 cup Applesauce 3 ounces Cream cheese -- softened Boil apple juice; add jello and dissolve. Drain cherries reserving syrup. Halve cherries and set aside. Add enough water to reserved syrup to make 1-1/2 cups liquid. Stir into jello-apple juice mix. Remove 2 cups and set aside; keep at room temperature. Chill remaining jello mix until partially set. Fold in cherries, walnuts and celery into partially set jello. Pour into 6-1/2 cup ring mold. Chill until almost firm. Gradually add reserved 2 cups jello to softened cream cheese, beating until smooth. Add applesauce. Spoon mixture over cherry jello mix.
