* Exported from MasterCook * Dutch Lettuce Recipe By : Midwest Living, June 1995 Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Salads Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 6 bacon slices -- chopped 1/4 cup vinegar 2 teaspoons granulated sugar 5 cups lettuce -- torn, to 6 cups 3 small potatoes --cooked, peeled and sliced 2 hard-boiled eggs -- peeled, chopped 2 tablespoons chopped onions In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. With a slotted spoon, transfer the bacon pieces to paper towels to drain; reserve the drippings. Stir the vinegar and sugar into the bacon drippings in the skillet. Bring to boiling. Remove from the heat and keep warm. In a salad bowl, gently mix together the lettuce, potatoes, eggs and onions. Pour the warm dressing over top; toss.
