* Exported from MasterCook * Brussel Sprouts in Bacon Dressing Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Vegetables Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 pints Fresh or 3 10 oz frozen pkg -- brussel sprouts 1/2 pound Thin sliced bacon 2 tablespoons Cider vinegar 2 tablespoons Granulated or maple sugar 1/2 teaspoon Salt 1/4 teaspoon Pepper Trim stems and outer leaves from sprouts, cut a cross in stem, soak in cold water 15 minutes; drain and cook, covered in boiling salted water 10 minutes or until tender , drain; meanwhile cook bacon till crisp, drain on paper and crumble reserve 5 tablespoons drippings in skillet; add vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper to skillet, add brussel sprouts and toss to coat; heat thoroughly; place in serving bowl and sprinkle with crumbled bacon, toss to coat and serve. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
