* Exported from MasterCook * Garbure Basque (Ham/Bean Soup) Recipe By : Serving Size : 1 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soups Crockpot Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 Lb Dried Navy or pea beans presoaked -- drained 4 C Water 2 1/2 Lb Ham butt 1 Onion -- sliced 2 Garlic Cloves -- chopped 1 Green pepper -- cut strips 1 Hot pepper -- opt 10 Ounces frozen limas -- thaw 10 Ounces frozen peas -- thaw 1 Carrot -- sliced 1/2 Small Cabbage Head -- shred Salt and pepper Place all ingredients except frozen veggies and cabbage in crockpot. Cover and cook on Low 12 to 18 hours. Turn to High and remove ham. Add peas, limas and cabbage. Cook for 1 to 2 hours on High or until veggies are tender.
