* Exported from MasterCook * Mel's Green Bean Soup Recipe By : Serving Size : 6 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soups Vegetables Ethnic Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 quarts Chicken stock 1 Large onion -- diced 1/2 pound Green beans 3 Potatoes; peeled -- diced 1 Carrot -- sliced 1 cup Sour cream 6 Dill heads 1 dash White wine vinegar Salt & pepper Cut off the ends of green beans and cut into 1" pieces. Add the beans along with all other ingredients except sour cream and vinega r to a soup pot and bring to a boil. Lower to a simmer, and cook until the vegetables are done. Put the sour cream in a small bowl. Ladle about one cup of the liquid from the pot into the cream and whisk well. Add to the pot and heat thoroughly, but do not boil.
