* Exported from MasterCook * Cream of Wild Rice Soup Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :1:00 Categories : Soups Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 tablespoons butter or margarine 3/4 cup onion -- chopped 3/4 cup celery -- chopped 1/2 cup green pepper -- chopped 8 ounces mushrooms 2 tablespoons flour 3 cups water 1 package long grain and wild rice mix 1/4 teaspoon thyme chicken, cooked -- optional Melt butter or margarine in 4 quart pan. Saute onion, celery and green pepper until tender . Add mushrooms, stir in flour, gaually add liquids. Mix well. Add rice with spice packet and remaining seasonings, plus salt and pepper to taste.
