Susan -- always uses pork tam Brown ground beef, onion and green pepper in oil until browned . In slow cooker, combine beef mixture, frozen corn,, water, bouillon cubes, beans with liquid, chili powder, cumin, S & P. Cook on low 6-8 hours . About 30 minutes before serving, add tamale pieces and heat thoroughly . do not cook tamales too long or they will fall apart. *Note: Susan sez: "This is a very thick soup, like a stew.
