* Exported from MasterCook * Goulash Soup Recipe By : Serving Size : 4 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Meat Soups Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 2 Med Onions -- peeled and chopped 3 Tbsp Fat 3 Tbsp Paprika, Hungarian 1 1/2 Lb Beef Chuck, Boneless -- cut in 1 1/2 " cubes 1 Lg Carrot -- scraped and diced Salt And Pepper -- to taste 1 Lg Tomato -- peeled and chopped 2 Med Potatoes -- peeled and chopped In a large saucepan, saute onions in fat until limp. Remove from fire; add paprika. Mix well and return to heat. Add meat cubes; brown. Add carrot, salt, pepper and 4 cups water. Simmer, covered, for 1 hour. Add more water while cooking, if needed or desired. Add tomato and potatoes' cook another 30 mins.
