                        Hearty Ham and Potato Soup

   1      cup           Fresh mushrooms -- thin sliced
     1/2  cup           Green onion -- thin sliced
   2      tablespoons   Butter or margarine
   9      ounces        Frozen cut green beans
   3      cups          Milk
   1      cup           Fully cooked ham -- cubed
     3/4  cup           Instant mashed potato flakes
     1/2  cup           American cheese -- shredded

Cook mushrooms and onion in hot butter till tender. Add beans and 1/2 cup water.
 Bring to boiling; reduce heat. cook, covered, about 5 minutes or till beans are crisp tender. 
Add milk, ham, potato flkes, cheese, and 1/8 t. pepper. Cook and stir till bubbly. 
Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
