* Exported from MasterCook * Oneita's Stuffed Pepper Soup Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soup **Move Beef Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef, extra lean 4 medium green peppers 3 tablespoons onion flakes -- or fresh 1 16 oz can tomato soup 1 can water 1 15 oz can tomato sauce 1 can water salt and pepper -- to taste 3 cups rice -- cooked & drained Precook rice for about 1/2 required time, it will finish in soup. Clean and chop green pepers into 1/4 inch pieces. Brown ground beef, green peppers and onion together. In large pot, add this mixture and all remaining ingredients. Cook on low for at least one hour or more. Stir frequently. After cooking on low for about one hour, you may adjust the thickness of the soup; add more water for thinner or let cook down for thicker soup. I slightly brown ground meat and drain before adding the green peppers and onion to brown. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - NOTES : You may increase or decrease the amounts of meat, green peppers, onions and rice according to your taste. My husband doesn't like onions, so if I use the dry flakes he doesn't recognize them. (tricky??) Enjoy!
