As a Bennigans manager, I serve this one alot.... this recipe makes 5 gallons and does divide easily into any size. in stock pot melt margarine and then saute onions for approx. 15 minutes. Add all spices except the beef base. Saute 15 minutes. while onions are cooking, bring water and beef base to a boil in another pot. After the 30 minute cooking time, add the onions to the water. Let simmer for 45 minutes. I am sorry that I didn't break it into smaller portions, if it helps, the soup will only hold for 5 days. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
