Cook 4-5 mins. Add remaining ingreds except ;chicken and rice. Bring to a boil. Cover, simmer 20 mins. Add chicken, simmer 45-50 mins or until chicken is very tender and flavors are well blenced . Remove soup from heat. Skim off fat. Remove chicken pieces, set aside. Remove bay leaves. Add rice, bring to boil. Cover, simmer 20-25 mins. Meanwhile remove chicken meat from bones, cut into bite sized pieces. When rice is tender, return meat to pot. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
