* Exported from MasterCook * Vegetable Pasta Soup Recipe By : Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time :0:00 Categories : Soups Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method -------- ------------ -------------------------------- 3 cups tomato juice 4 cups water 4 teaspoons chicken base -- or bouillon 1/2 cup celery -- chopped 1/4 cup onions -- chopped 1/4 teaspoon basil leaves -- crushed 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 2/3 cup small pasta --orzo, alphabets or aceni de pepi 1 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables 1 pound ground turkey -- optional --browned and drained In a large saucepan, combine the tomato juice, water, chicken base , celery, onion, basil and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce the heat; cover and simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the celery and onions are tender. Stir in the pasta. Cover and cook over medium heat for 15 minutes. Add the vegetables and cooked turkey. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes until the mixed vegetables are tender. Serves 6 to 8. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
